Privacy Policy

ExamPede is an exam-review platform in the Philippines. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site handles and why. We aim to handle personal data consistently with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).

What we collect

• Account details — your email address and the name you register with (or the basic profile shared when you sign in with Google or Facebook).
• Practice activity — your answers, scores, and per-subject statistics, so the app can show your progress.
• Printed tests — when you print a practice test, we save which questions were on it, so your dashboard can show that printout's answer key (matched by the code on the paper).
• Usage counters — daily practice counters are kept in your own browser's storage (localStorage). Daily allowances for AI features (Ask Anything and the AI study aids) are counted on our servers against your account, so those limits work the same across your devices.
• Visit counts — an invisible visit counter (StatCounter) tallies page visits; it may set a cookie. We see counts, not identities.

Where it lives and who processes it

Accounts and practice data are stored with Supabase (our database and sign-in provider). The site is hosted on Vercel. When payments launch, they will be processed by PayMongo — ExamPede never sees or stores card numbers.

AI features

When you use an AI study aid (such as "Explain further" or "Generate similar question") or Ask Anything, the question text and your typed question are sent to an AI service (OpenAI) to generate the response. Your identity is not attached to those requests. AI-generated study material is always labeled as such in the app.

What we never do

• We do not sell or rent your personal information.
• We do not show third-party advertising.
• We do not collect more than the app needs to work.

Your choices

You can ask us to show, correct, or delete your account data. Requests will go through the contact address on our Contact page (a dedicated support address will be published there before public launch).

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Significant changes will be noted in the app.
